Integration Engineer

Coupa is looking to fulfill a full-time role of integration engineer. This role is to help our customers integrate with 3rd party systems. The candidate will own all the integrations between Coupa and our customers. We have over 150 customers today and many integrate to third party systems such as Oracle, SAP, Great Plains, Lawson, JDE, NetSuite, etc… We have a robust API layer using the REST API principles, please take a look at http://integrate.coupa.com for more information on our integration capabilities.

The candidate will build, design, test, and support integrations between Coupa and any 3rd party system. The integrations will vary between flat file, XML, web services, https, email, etc…either leveraging custom code or the Boomi integration platform. The ideal candidate will also have an solid understanding of Financial/ERP systems.

The typical integration between Coupa and 3rd party systems are business objects such as invoices, purchase orders, suppliers, account codes, etc.. The person will manage multiple concurrent integration projects along with supporting existing integrations.

Requirements:

  • Build, Design, Test, Support Coupa’s integrations with 3rd party systems
  • Strong understanding of ERP and Financial systems
  • Computer Science background with development experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a software development role
  • Experience with SaaS to on-premise integrations
  • Boomi experience is a plus

SaaS Architect

Coupa is the premier SaaS provider of spend management applications. Our SaaS offering is built on the cutting edge Ruby on Rails platform and delivered using Amazon’s Web Services, utilizing the top cloud computing resources in the world.

The role is a hands on role where the candidate will work to architect, build, and manage our best in class hosting operations. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of web technologies. The candidate should also be comfortable creating and running web applications. Amazon Web Services and SAS70 Type II experience is a plus.

Other responsibilities include disaster recovery, security, scalability, load balancing, redundancy and handling backups.

Requirements and skills/qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of Sales Experience: Proven track record in evangelistic selling, selling new technology/SaaS solutions and services both over the phone using Sales 2.0 technologies, and/or from the field. This person has a track record of successfully managing & closing business in a high transactional environment, and attaining quota consistently, quarter over quarter. This individual is a self-starter, manages daily activities & productivity effectively, and successfully builds and manages pipeline. Experience with selling on-demand services (SaaS), Accounting/ERP systems preferred.
  • Sales Leadership & character attributes: This individual is a self-starter with a bias to action, and someone who takes strong accountability for personal results. This person embodies creativity, intellectual horsepower, confidence, resourcefulness, strong work ethic, & masters ambiguity. They demonstrate strong leadership & truly enjoy helping, selling, & working with people.   • Technical Aptitude: This individual has strong technical aptitude and is comfortable working with multiple systems & tools. Strong experience leveraging SFA/CRM systems to improve the quality, predictability and reporting, of sales efforts.
  • Sales Skills: Strong communication & presentation skills a must. This individual needs to be able to structure both verbal & written communications and command an audience. Excellent correspondence skills a must. Demonstrated experience in solution based selling and methodology. Need to possess strong listening and positioning skills. Ability to understand both internal & external customer pains & needs and effectively articulate options & solutions. Strength in using solution selling tactics, handling objections and developing positive ROI proof points.
  • Time Management and Multi-tasking Excellence: Effectively manages time and activities on a daily basis; can manage prospecting efforts, sales process, pipeline, late stage deals, contracts, and quota, to produce predictable business results. Must have keen prioritization skills, and be able to see and make necessary adjustments based on the business’s needs.

SDR – Sales Development Representative

The successful candidate will work with a team of seasoned marketing and sales professionals to generate leads, qualify opportunities and schedule initial meetings and demonstrations for the direct sales force. Responsibilities include:

Software Sales Consultant

IThe Coupa Sales Consultant will be primarily responsible for supporting the Company’s Sales teams in pre-sales activities. The role’s focus will be on providing functional pre-sales support. Part of the role, 25%, will be geared towards post-sales consulting to help customer’s implement the solution. The successful candidate will work directly with Coupa’s prospects, sales team and partners to help identify the fit between Coupa’s solution and the client’s needs, design the optimal solution, and demonstrate that solution.

The role will require you to:

  • Prepare and deliver product demos, presentations, and competitive positioning
  • Understand and articulate complex business issues, and address them with appropriate solutions
  • Complete RFIs and RFPs
  • Ensure a smooth transition between pre-sales technical work and post-sales consulting and technical support
  • Deliver business and technical presentations to any client at the executive, decision-making level
  • Help provide training to Coupa’s Partners, Customers and Prospects
  • Develop tools typically used by pre-sales professionals, including presentations, demonstrations, demonstration scripts, etc.

Required skills/experience/education

The ideal candidate will have:

  • BS degree plus 2-3 years e-Procurement, Purchasing, Sourcing, Supplier Management, or ERP pre-sales experience
  • A solid understanding of common industry business practices related to Finance and Procurement
  • Solid understanding of Cloud and/or SaaS enterprise applications
  • Experience in translating customer business requirements into workable business solutions
  • Excellent client communication and presentation skills

Compensation

Location/Travel

This position is based on the Peninsula in San Mateo CA. The successful candidate will work out of Coupa’s headquarters office. Periodic travel, both within the United States and internationally, may be required.

Lead QA Engineer

Coupa Software is looking for a Lead QA Engineer. You might not have heard of us yet, but we’re becoming one of the shining stars of cloud-based enterprise applications. Our Cloud Spend Management application provides both purchase request management and expense reports for hundreds of companies around the world, including Salesforce.com, Amazon, The Limited, Container Store, UCSB, and so many more. Well funded, great Ruby on Rails based application, incredibly talented engineers and a fun place to work.

You’ll be both hands-on and manage our offshore QA resources. You’ll be constantly busy and challenged with our rapid release cycle. And you’ll get to design and build out all of QA tools, processes, automation and more. The rewards (besides salary, stock and a stocked fridge/snack room) will be when you see your application in use by thousands of business users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Own our testing process
  • Design, build and maintain QA tools, frameworks and applications to drive the QA process
  • Work with engineers and product managers to identify testing requirements based on designs / functional specs
  • Implement automated test cases where possible to satisfy testing requirements
  • Manage offshore QA team who have been with Coupa for multiple years
  • Execute test plans for product releases, including bug reporting and fix verification process
  • Provide advice on the risk, status, and assessment of product releases with the help of appropriate QA metrics
  • Be a key member of our Development team

Qualifications

  • Excellent testing and troubleshooting experience (functional, usability, regression, performance, exploratory)
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle, software configuration management practices, release management methodologies, and production support
  • Proficiency with at least one continuous integration system; CruiseControl a plus
  • Working knowledge and experience with scripting language; Ruby a plus
  • BS/MS in Computer Science preferred
  • 5+ years QA experience, with 2+ years in a lead role
  • Experience with Selenium
  • Proficiency in API testing

Professional Services Director/Manager

Professional Services at Coupa are responsible for educating customers in both pre and post sale environments. This position is responsible for the delivery of training, implementation, and integration services for customers of Coupa. Working with the rest of the Services Team, this position often quickly assesses customer implementation needs, develops innovative plans to solve problems, and implement the plans to the customer’s satisfaction.

Successful candidates must have a passion for helping clients find creative ways to more effectively run their businesses. Customer success is a top corporate goal for Coupa. Finding new ways to constantly improve the success and loyalty of our customers is a top priority for this position.
This is a individual contributor position where you are responsible for managing 8 to 10 concurrent implementations for customers of all sizes. Fortune 500 to small startups make up the customers that we server with our platform. As we continue to grow, there may be management opportunities for folks that excel. The title will be based on the experience level of the candidate.

Work is routinely performed in Coupa’s San Mateo offices but may also occur at our customer’s sites across North America, travel is up to 25%.

Requirements:

  • 3 – 7 years experience in systems applications consulting, either internally via an IT organization or externally with a consulting firm or software provider
  • Candidates should have excellent client management skills and be able to work with customers to execute on an implementation plan
  • Experience with software in an ASP environment is a plus as is any experience with financial accounting, customer management, and sales force automation software. Previous consulting experience with the following applications is a solid predictor of success: QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains, ACT, Oracle, SAP
  • Working knowledge of and experience using XML, HTML, and SQL is desirable.

Financial Business Analyst

The Financial Business Analyst position will analyze financial and operational results, identify and track key performance indicators and prepare budgets and forecasts.

Your job responsibilities include:

  • Perform actual vs. budget analysis and identify any risks or opportunities associated with reported financial data.
  • Provide operating and financial analysis, business modeling and decision support to senior executives and operating managers that enables performance monitoring and business management.
  • Prepare monthly reporting package to Board of Directors.
  • Maintain complex data; reconcile and analyze specific data related to products and services.
  • Lead role in preparing annual budget and quarterly forecasting.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of financial experience, including hands on FP&A experience.
