Partner Sales Manager

Location – San Mateo, CA or remote as needed

Reports to: Vice President, Alliances

Duties and Responsibilities: Commissioned sales role. Close revenue contracts with Partners and Partner Customers. Effectively communicate Coupa’s value proposition, vision, product and service capabilities to Partner targets. Secure Partner revenue commitments to Coupa. Evangelize both internally and externally to support channel harmony. Drive Partner sales opportunities as necessary, including conflict resolution. Manage interface between Partners and Coupa. Achieve and exceed assigned revenue target and other objectives based on Coupa’s’ and Partner’s business plans. Introduce Partner to new Coupa products and services as they become available.

Software Sales Consultant

The Coupa Sales Consultant will be primarily responsible for supporting the Company’s Sales teams in pre-sales activities. The role’s focus will be on providing functional pre-sales support. Part of the role, 25%, will be geared towards post-sales consulting to help customer’s implement the solution. The successful candidate will work directly with Coupa’s prospects, sales team and partners to help identify the fit between Coupa’s solution and the client’s needs, design the optimal solution, and demonstrate that solution.

The role will require you to:

  • Prepare and deliver product demos, presentations, and competitive positioning
  • Understand and articulate complex business issues, and address them with appropriate solutions
  • Complete RFIs and RFPs
  • Ensure a smooth transition between pre-sales technical work and post-sales consulting and technical support
  • Deliver business and technical presentations to any client at the executive, decision-making level
  • Help provide training to Coupa’s Partners, Customers and Prospects

Professional Services Consultant

Professional Services at Coupa are responsible for educating customers in both pre and post sale environments. This position is responsible for the delivery of training, implementation, and integration services for customers of Coupa. Working with the rest of the Services Team, this position often quickly assesses customer implementation needs, develops innovative plans to solve problems, and implement the plans to the customer’s satisfaction.

Successful candidates must have a passion for helping clients find creative ways to more effectively run their businesses. Customer success is a top corporate goal for Coupa. Finding new ways to constantly improve the success and loyalty of our customers is a top priority for this position.

This is a individual contributor position where you are responsible for managing 8 to 10 concurrent implementations for customers of all sizes. Fortune 500 to small startups make up the customers that we server with our platform. As we continue to grow, there may be management opportunities for folks that excel. The title will be based on the experience level of the candidate.

Work is routinely performed in Coupa’s San Mateo offices but may also occur at our customer’s sites across North America, travel is up to 25%.

Requirements:

  • 3 – 7 years experience in systems applications consulting, either internally via an IT organization or externally with a consulting firm or software provider
  • Candidates should have excellent client management skills and be able to work with customers to execute on an implementation plan
  • Experience with software in an ASP environment is a plus as is any experience with financial accounting, customer management, and sales force automation software. We are looking for a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to manage the Coupa Cloud. This role will involve developing the building blocks to scale the Coupa Cloud for our growing customer base, continue to deliver high performance and availability as Coupa expands globally, and provide security and privacy in compliance with global laws and regulations. The role will involve leading and mentoring junior engineers and interacting with senior engineers and architects internally and within Coupa vendor and customer organizations. This is a hands-on DevOps role and will involve implementation and automation of the infrastructure components.

The Supplier Enablement Lead will gather supplier data, test supplier systems, as well as develop and coordinate training to enable transactions between Coupa clients and preferred suppliers.  Prepare, register, and educate suppliers in transacting with Coupa via cXML, EDI and/or the Coupa Supplier Network (CSN).  This position will manage supplier relationships and assist in testing supplier connectivity, gaining supplier acceptance, and enabling suppliers to receive purchase orders, submit electronic shipping documents and invoices and transmit catalogs via the network. This role is responsible for managing multiple and various complexity projects simultaneously.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Register suppliers, test supplier connectivity, import catalogs, and build punch-out catalogs.
  • Manage the Coupa Catalog Administration functionality to provide suppliers appropriate information to expedite the registration process, enablement, and catalog set-up; and access other information related to Coupa Supplier Network registration.
  • Communicate with suppliers in a manner that urges them to transition to the Coupa Supplier Network, providing information in the appropriate format to import to the Coupa Supplier Network.
  • Work with Coupa client Procurement teams to identify appropriate suppliers for registration.
  • Solicit supplier base to coordinate registration and catalog submission to for Coupa clients.
  • Facilitate and train individuals at each supplier to ensure accurate catalog information is provided and transmitted.
  • Screen and confirm supplier catalogs for accuracy in format and general content.
  • Escalate supplier issues as necessary with Coupa Professional Services and/or client team.
  • Identify and create business process change mechanics to streamline supplier enablement methods.
  • Escalate and execute follow-up requirements related to any internal/external activity that interrupts established timetables.
  • Participate and confirm successful testing of production activities and supplier connectivity through Coupa Supplier Network and ePro.
  • Prepare status reports to measure results and ensure on time supplier enablements.
  • Work within the goals and objectives as set by Coupa Professional Services and/or the client ePro team.
  • Communicate and train suppliers regarding any system architecture or database changes that may impact sourcing/purchasing requirements related to supplier and/or catalog enablement.

Technical Experience: ·

  • Expert-level proficiency with modern purchasing transactional systems.
  • Experience with cXML, EDI, and network supplier enablements.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in IT application support or Procurement/Supply Chain function required.
  • Broad knowledge of spend management strategies and/or procurement, sourcing, category management and supplier performance management.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products and knowledge of software systems.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelors degree required.  Degree in Business, Computer Science, or Informational Systems is preferred
