SaaS Architect
Coupa is the premier SaaS provider of spend management applications. Our SaaS offering is built on the cutting edge Ruby on Rails platform and delivered using Amazon’s Web Services, utilizing the top cloud computing resources in the world.
The role is a hands on role where the candidate will work to architect, build, and manage our best in class hosting operations. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of web technologies. The candidate should also be comfortable creating and running web applications. Amazon Web Services and SAS70 Type II experience is a plus.
Other responsibilities include disaster recovery, security, scalability, load balancing, redundancy and handling backups.
This role also involves pre-sales situations to address security concerns and working very closely with engineering to design and implement the next generation infrastructure for the application.

CSR – Corporate Sales Rep

A qualified CSR (aka Corporate Sales Rep) brings strong start-up sales experience, is solution oriented, has personal drive & enthusiasm, solid work ethic, integrity, customer focus, and is team oriented, & possess a sense of humor. You are a natural pace-setter and your agility, intelligence, resourcefulness and focus on results, are the keys to your success. You will be responsible for evangelizing Coupa solutions, actively managing the entire sales cycle including prospecting, developing new relationships with business decision makers, delivering presentations, demos, & proposals, negotiating contracts, closing business, and driving market share. The strong CSR will have aggressive “hunting” skills with a proven track record for prospecting and closing new business.
Your job responsibilities include:
- Attaining quarterly goals & sales quota targets
- Evangelizing our solution, driving market share; while qualifying, managing, & closing business
- Developing & managing a territory plan; implementing on both on a strategic & tactical level
- Prospecting for new customers from target account lists, as well as, inbound leads
- Qualifying opportunities, and allocating time and resources accordingly
- Presenting and demonstrating our solution to prospective customers & prospects
- Managing prospect/customer evaluations and driving trial usage across organizations
- Scoping opportunity and developing & presenting proposals accordingly

Requirements and skills/qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of Sales Experience: Proven track record in evangelistic selling, selling new technology/SaaS solutions and services both over the phone using Sales 2.0 technologies, and/or from the field. This person has a track record of successfully managing & closing business in a high transactional environment, and attaining quota consistently, quarter over quarter. This individual is a self-starter, manages daily activities & productivity effectively, and successfully builds and manages pipeline. Experience with selling on-demand services (SaaS), Accounting/ERP systems preferred.
- Sales Leadership & character attributes: This individual is a self-starter with a bias to action, and someone who takes strong accountability for personal results. This person embodies creativity, intellectual horsepower, confidence, resourcefulness, strong work ethic, & masters ambiguity. They demonstrate strong leadership & truly enjoy helping, selling, & working with people. This person is assertive, respected among peers & customers, and is able to influence prospects, customers, teammates and co-workers. Has a proven track record at building rapport & relationships, as well as, strong experience in negotiating deals, & making thoughtful business decisions.
- Technical Aptitude: This individual has strong technical aptitude and is comfortable working with multiple systems & tools. This person proactively learns new technology, business acumen, and implements as appropriate. Must have thorough understanding of Microsoft Office products, e-mail, and Web applications. Strong experience leveraging SFA/CRM systems to improve the quality, predictability and reporting, of sales efforts.
- Sales Skills: Strong communication & presentation skills a must. This individual needs to be able to structure both verbal & written communications and command an audience. Excellent correspondence skills a must. Demonstrated experience in solution based selling and methodology. Need to possess strong listening and positioning skills. Ability to understand both internal & external customer pains & needs and effectively articulate options & solutions. Strength in using solution selling tactics, handling objections and developing positive ROI proof points.
- Time Management and Multi-tasking Excellence: Effectively manages time and activities on a daily basis; can manage prospecting efforts, sales process, pipeline, late stage deals, contracts, and quota, to produce predictable business results. Must have keen prioritization skills, and be able to see and make necessary adjustments based on the business’s needs.
- Education: BA/BS preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Software Sales Consultant
IThe Coupa Sales Consultant will be primarily responsible for supporting the Company’s Sales teams in pre-sales activities. The role’s focus will be on providing functional pre-sales support. Part of the role, 25%, will be geared towards post-sales consulting to help customer’s implement the solution. The successful candidate will work directly with Coupa’s prospects, sales team and partners to help identify the fit between Coupa’s solution and the client’s needs, design the optimal solution, and demonstrate that solution.
The role will require you to:
- Prepare and deliver product demos, presentations, and competitive positioning
- Understand and articulate complex business issues, and address them with appropriate solutions
- Complete RFIs and RFPs
- Ensure a smooth transition between pre-sales technical work and post-sales consulting and technical support
- Deliver business and technical presentations to any client at the executive, decision-making level
- Help provide training to Coupa’s Partners, Customers and Prospects
- Develop tools typically used by pre-sales professionals, including presentations, demonstrations, demonstration scripts, etc.
Required skills/experience/education
The ideal candidate will have:
- BS degree plus 2-3 years e-Procurement, Purchasing, Sourcing, Supplier Management, or ERP pre-sales experience
- A solid understanding of common industry business practices related to Finance and Procurement
- Solid understanding of Cloud and/or SaaS enterprise applications
- Experience in translating customer business requirements into workable business solutions
- Excellent client communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional demonstration skills
- Experience with financial accounting, procurement, material management, customer management, and sales force automation software preferred
- Previous experience with one or more of the following applications: Ariba, Perfect Commerce, Ketera, Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains), QuickBooks, MAS 90, NetSuite, Infor ERP, Epicor Enterprise, Oracle Applications, SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, salesforce.com.
- Working knowledge of and experience using XML, Java, HTML, and SQL is helpful but not a requirement

Compensation
Your compensation will include a base, commission payable on a quarterly basis and equity options.
Location/Travel
This position is based on the Peninsula in San Mateo CA. The successful candidate will work out of Coupa’s headquarters office.. Periodic travel, both within the United States and internationally, may be required.

Service Delivery Manager
Service Delivery Managers are responsible for educating customers in both pre and post sale environments. This position is responsible for the delivery of training, implementation, and integration services for customers of Coupa. Working with the rest of the Service Delivery Team, this position often quickly assesses customer implementation needs, develops innovative plans to solve problems, and implement the plans to the customer’s satisfaction.
Successful candidates must have a passion for helping clients find creative ways to more effectively run their businesses. Customer satisfaction is a top corporate goal for Coupa. Finding new ways to constantly improve the satisfaction and loyalty of our customers is a top priority for this position.
Work is routinely performed in Coupa’s San Mateo offices but may also occur at our customer’s sites across North America, travel is up to 25%.
Requirements:
- 3 – 7 years experience in systems applications consulting, either internally via an IT organization or externally with a consulting firm or software provider
- Candidates should have excellent client management skills and be able to work with customers to execute on an implementation plan
- Experience with software in an ASP environment is a plus as is any experience with financial accounting, customer management, and sales force automation software. Previous consulting experience with the following applications is a solid predictor of success: QuickBooks, NetSuite, Great Plains, SalesForce.com, ACT, Oracle, SAP

Financial Business Analyst
The Financial Business Analyst position will analyze financial and operational results, identify and track key performance indicators and prepare budgets and forecasts.
Your job responsibilities include:
- Perform actual vs. budget analysis and identify any risks or opportunities associated with reported financial data.
- Provide operating and financial analysis, business modeling and decision support to senior executives and operating managers that enables performance monitoring and business management.
- Prepare monthly reporting package to Board of Directors.
- Maintain complex data; reconcile and analyze specific data related to products and services.
- Lead role in preparing annual budget and quarterly forecasting.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of financial experience, including hands on FP&A experience.
