Coupa Sam is officially in the house!

If you’re already a Coupa customer, you’re probably familiar with our mascot Coupa Sam. Today we received a life-size costume of Coupa Sam, and of course we immediately had to try it out. The lucky costume wearer was our VP of Marketing,  Jason Hekl.

I stepped out with Jason once he was all suited up, to go for a little walk around our hood here in San Mateo, CA. It was interesting–people honked, children were cooing, and UPS delivery guys were pointing. Our CEO, Rob Bernshteyn, even stepped out for a minute to see what all the commotion was about.

So the question is: WHY were people so intrigued? Was it because a 7-foot tall samurai warrior with a 70’s haircut was walking around downtown San Mateo? Or was it because they’re familiar with the amazing spend control prowess of Coupa Sam?

Hmmm….
