Senior Ruby on Rails Developer Wanted

Who we are: Coupa Software is a San Mateo-based venture-backed firm offering an innovative SaaS procurement platform to a wide range of businesses. Essentially we help businesses buy things, keep track of what they bought, pay for it, and analyze the resulting data, while taking cues from what’s going on in the consumer space and focusing on keeping the interface as usable and elegant as possible. Think Amazon, mixed with Mint.com, a splash of Yelp, a dash of Kayak, a smidge of Froogle, aimed for businesses. Our development team is tight, agile, friendly, and bright, with a lot of input into the product.

The developer we’re looking for:

* is a quick learner and good communicator. After all, we all have more fun if we understand what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how it can be made better.
* has experience building things with Rails, whether commercially or on the side. The more the better.
* loves making UIs usable and elegant
* knows what’s going on in the community
* is passionate about something and can explain what and why
* has had a crush on a piece of code at some point
