Born in Spendville, USA, Coupa Sam grew up during a time of rampant corporate corruption; when white-collar criminals could rob companies blind in broad daylight with no more than a slap on the wrist as punishment. The corporate fat cats at Enron and the Bernie Madoffs of the world ruled the day, but it would only be a matter of time before enough would be enough.

Coupa Sam had seen his parents retirement fund vanish, many of his friends had lost their homes to foreclosure with many more having lost their jobs, and the economic future of a once great nation lay in limbo. And in a time where the world needed a hero, Coupa Sam stood up, took responsibility and vowed to empower all organizations – large, small and every size in between – with the tools they needed to regain spend visibility and control.
