Coupa is currently seeking a Business Development Representative for its San Mateo office to market its Cloud Spend Management software applications to mid-market and enterprise accounts around the world. The successful candidate will work with a team of seasoned marketing and sales professionals to generate leads, qualify opportunities and schedule initial meetings and demonstrations for the direct sales force. Responsibilities include:
- Lead generation through target account selling, outbound cold calling, and calling on marketing-generated and inbound leads
- Meet monthly and quarterly leads and revenue objectives
- Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Coupa’s product line and value proposition
- Demonstrate clear understanding of Coupa’s sales processes and product and service value propositions
- Work with field sales force to implement sales strategies
- Provide weekly accurate QSO (qualified sales opportunities) forecasts to the sales organization and executive management
Required Skills:
- Consistent track record for meeting and exceeding lead generation and sales objectives
- 2-3 years inside sales software experience, preferably at an enterprisesoftware company selling SaaS / Cloud applications
- Experience calling into Fortune 1000 accounts at CXO level
- Proven Track Record with New Account development
- Highly motivated professional with excellent inter-personal skills
- High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment and professionalism
- Self-starter with solid organizational and planning skills
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com required
- Discipline to maintain high call volumes (minimum 45 outbound calls per day)
- Bachelor’s Degree required
