Coupa works like you do
Whether your end-users get the goods shipped to them or you have a central receiving group, Coupa has you covered.
There are three ways to create receipts in Coupa:
1. End-user receiving (AKA desktop receiving) – where the user views his/her requisition and indicates how much has been received
2. Quick Receiving by central receivers (e.g., your warehouse people) – the receiver indicates quantity received across multiple order lines
3. Detailed Receiving by central receivers – the receiver can put additional attributes on a single receipt and/or put the item into inventory
Combine receiving with invoicing and you get full 3-way matching to ensure you are only paying for what’s been already received.
Users can quickly receive ordered goods and services in just a few clicks. The system supports both desktop and centralized receiving.
You may also record more detailed receipts, to manage inventory and track asset data. Many customers use Coupa for IT inventory and tracking.
Inventory Built Right Into Procurement
Coupa gives you a full inventory system right inside its purchasing system. Whether you have IT inventory, an office supply closet or a full blown manufacturing warehouse, Coupa helps you track where everything is and where it’s been. Get real-time valuation of your inventory and be alerted when key stock items are low.
Track Assets Through Their Lifetime
You’ve acquired some expensive assets over time. If you lose track of them, you’ll end up wasting money on repurchases. Get rid of your spreadsheets or other inefficient tracking methods. With Coupa, you track all your assets simply, know where the assets are and all associated information like serial numbers.
Several inventory reports are available, like On-Hand Balances.
Asset Tracking is another standard report in Coupa e-Procurement.
