Starting with the founders’ conviction that existing procurement applications catered almost exclusively to the Fortune 500, the Coupa team focused from the beginning on simplifying the purchasing process, and building an on-demand application known for its ease of use, speed of deployment and rapid pace of innovation.

Coupa e-Procurement is a true software-as-a-service (SaaS) application, and has been from its start. It is developed in Ruby on Rails (RoR), and is hosted and managed entirely in the cloud on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Operating in this environment affords Coupa certain advantages – the development process is agile, and fast. We release new software approximately every other month. It also affords us ample opportunity to push the envelope and innovate at a very rapid pace. The pages within highlight several of these innovations, like Coupa Quickstart, a visual wizard-like interface that accelerates deployment time on the Coupa purchasing system to as little as 90 minutes.
