Nov ‘08 Release New Features Highlights

New navigation

An updated tab-based user interface makes it quicker to navigate from task to task. The tabs are organized by document type so it is much easier to follow transactions through the system.

Administrators on Coupa see every tab.  But most other roles will see just those tabs that are relevant to them.  For example, a standard requester would  see only the Home tab.

Purchase order buyer review

Buyers can review purchase orders and make final edits before releasing to the supplier.

Create catalog items from purchase orders

Buyers can create catalog items from punch-outs and free-form requests with one click. The items can be created from receipts or purchase orders.

When viewing purchase orders or receiving items already in a catalog, a pencil icon appears that allows the user to edit that item with a single click.  If certain purchase line details differ from the existing catalog item, they are highlighted.  In the screenshot below, the PO line price was $70 which differs from the existing catalog item.  If the user wants to update the catalog item, he/she can click Save.

PO transmission control

Get prompted by the system how you want to transmit the purchase order, including personalizing the email to the supplier for a new order.

Void receipts

Back out receipts that were entered incorrectly. Any user with the Central Receiving or Inventory Manager role will be able to click on pencil icon to void the receipt.
