Pack your running shoes and head for the hills of San Francisco for Coupa Inspire
at the Westin St. Francis. We’re expecting a record crowd of nearly 2,000 acustomers, prospects, partners and employees to attend this year’s event. We hope you will be among them! The opening reception is Tuesday May 16th in the big tent across from the hotel on Union Square, followed by two full days of learning sessions May 17th and 18th, wrapping up with the fabulous party we’ve become known for on the evening of the 18th.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the Inspire, and after five years we can now say that along with our famous party, a 6 a.m. group fun run through the streets of San Francisco is a Coupa Inspire tradition. Even if you don’t plan to join the run, you may need the shoes to get to as many of the 40 learning sessions as possible, especially Coupa CEO Rob Bernshteyn’s chat with tech industry icon Steve Wozniak at 10 am on Thursday.
Woz’s talk will be preceded by Coupa Vice President Product Management Raja Hammoud’s big reveal of all that is new and wonderful in our Coupa ’18 product release.
Rob will open the event bright and early at 9:00 on Wednesday with his annual keynote. It’s been an eventful year for Coupa since we met here in 2016, and he’s sure to have some interesting insights to share. Here’s hoping his hotel room has a decent working shower, and his room service order comes just the way he wants it☺ Otherwise, we will certainly hear about as a point for discussion during his talk.
Hot topics for 2017: Deloitte and Caterpillar will talk about digitizing the supply chain and IDC will explore procurement’s role in Corporate Social Responsibility. And, since it is 2017 of course we have a session on AI: “Artificial Intelligence Comes to Spend Management,” with Paddy Lawton, Founder of Coupa Spend360 and Stephen Nied, Operating Advisor for Procurement and Supply Chain at Francisco Partners.
We’re also big fans of the panel discussion, as it’s a great way to get multiple views on the same topic. This year’s panels include a C-Level Advisory Panel led by Dawn Sigura, President and CEO of SIG; CIO Panel Discussion with Bob Worrall, Sr. Vice President and CIO at Juniper Networks and Paul Tuxford, Head of Client CTI, AVALOQ; CFO Panel Discussion with Ron Pachura, VP Finance Transformation, FISERV and Todd Dooley, Former CFO, and a session on postmodern ERP led by Coupa Executive Strategic Advisor Kendra Von Esh.
Those are some of the highlights of the official agenda, but what’s just as important is what’s not on it: The opportunity to speak with Coupa customers about how they’re unleashing value from their Coupa deployments. We have a whole new lineup of customers who’ve done the math to show how much time and money they’ve saved transforming their spend management processes with Coupa. And, many of the customers who shared their success metrics in years past are back with bigger and better results as they go farther and deeper with Coupa.
Lace up those shoes and be prepared to meet, greet, eat, learn and share your socks off.
