The UK and US reports a combined $2.7B in sanctions-related fines last year. In the UK those fines increased by more than 20X between 2016 and 2017 and have continued to increase at an alarming rate since that time. Concurrently, we are seeing massive supply chain disruptions caused by insolvency/business failures, the changing shape of global business risk, and a pervasive lack of risk-based process controls in corporations around the world. This interactive session will explore case studies that detail high-risk business activity and impacts, including: what happened, leading indicators of risk, and what could have been done to minimize the impact of the high-risk activity.
