Monika Saksena is currently Vice President, Business Development and Partnerships in the American Express Global Commercial Services organization. Monika is responsible for leading B2B Product Partnerships for commercial payments across American Express.
Prior to this role, Monika was Vice President, Global Client Group, managing some of the largest Technology and Energy corporate payment relationships for American Express globally. Monika was responsible for teams across the West Coast and the South in the US that were goaled to retain and grow over $6.2B to the top line. Prior to that, Monika was Director in the Merchant Services Group looking after retaining and growing merchants into the American Express merchant network in the Pacific North West, in the United States. Monika also did a short tenure in India with Global Shared Services, working on enterprise wide transformation projects.
Before joining American Express, Monika spent twelve years across Microsoft and Hewlett-Packard. Six years at Microsoft were spent leading Sales Compensation. Her six years at Hewlett Packard were across a host of roles, strategic and IT consulting, and business process work at the time of the HP-Compaq merger.
Monika has a BS in Chemistry from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, India; and a Master’s in Computer Science from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida. Monika is currently based out of New Jersey.
