John Sholar

John is the Director of Legal and Deputy General Counsel for the Americas at Santen, Inc., a global pharmaceutical and medical device company. John has more than twelve years of experience as an attorney and supervises all legal and contracting functions in the Americas.

Upon joining Santen, John was asked to transition the contracts function from the Finance department to the Legal department. After taking over contracts, John reviewed the systems in place and transitioned from a standalone contract management software platform to Coupa CLM, which aligned with Santen's Coupa P2P module.

Prior to joining Santen, John was a partner in an AmLaw 100 firm, and before that was a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy.
