Swati Scanlon is Vice President and Head of New York Life’s Third-Party Management Office and Supplier Diversity Program. She assumed this role in June 2016, initially responsible for development and institutionalization of an enterprise-wide supplier third-party risk management program. She is currently responsible for development of the governance model & enterprise framework for third-party relationship and performance management, to best optimize partnerships, services, transparency and value for NYL and its partners.
She joined New York Life in 2010 as CFO/Controller for the Institutional Annuities business and subsequently held responsibility for Consolidated Financial Planning & Analysis and Controller for the Investments Group (over $500B Assets Under Management).
She also assumed the role of Chief Risk Officer of New York Life Investments on an interim basis during 2015.
Prior to joining New York Life, Swati spent 13 years at The Hartford, ultimately as CFO of their Institutional Private Placement business (Corporate Owned & Bank Owned Life Insurance and High Net Worth products). She had also assumed a critical role of interim CFO for Hartford Life’s Institutional Line of Business during the economic crisis in 2009.
She is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries, and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and has also held a board position for the New York Life Trust Company.
