Coupa Appoints Ray Martinelli as Executive Vice President of People

Skilled Human Resource Executive Brings more than 20 years of Global Management Experience to help Accelerate Coupa’s Rapid Growth & Expansion

SAN MATEO — December 8, 2015 —Coupa Software, the leader in cloud-based spend management, announced today the appointment of Ray Martinelli as executive vice president of people. Martinelli will oversee the company's global human resource operations.

Martinelli brings more than 20 years of experience in global human resource management with industry-leading, high-growth companies in Silicon Valley. Before Coupa, Martinelli was the chief people officer at Alfresco Software where he was responsible for global human resources and worked closely with the executive team to scale the organization and expand its global presence.

Prior to Alfresco, Martinelli was chief people officer at ServiceSource (NYSE:SCI) where he helped grow the company from 150 employees to more than 3,500 employees worldwide. Throughout his career, Martinelli assumed executive-level human resource roles at leading technology brands, including Macromedia where he served as senior vice president of human resources, as well as Juniper Networks (NYSE:JNPR) and Computer Curriculum Corporation where he worked as a global vice president of human resources for both companies. He began his career at Apple in 1998 as a director of human resources.

Martinelli earned a master’s degree in organizational development from Golden Gate University and a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from Sacramento State University.
