Coupa Hires ex-Oracle Software Executive JP Krishnamoorthy

Industry expert named vice president of engineering for cloud-based spend optimization leader

SAN MATEO, Calif. – September 12, 2013 – Coupa Software, a leading provider of cloud-based spend optimization solutions for finance, today announced that former Oracle executive JP Krishnamoorthy has joined the company as vice president of engineering, effective immediately.

Krishnamoorthy, a seasoned software-development executive, will be responsible for overseeing the engineering and development organizations, which delivers Coupa’s cloud-based enterprise applications. He brings decades of experience managing projects with hundreds of employees worldwide and overseeing the development of products that generated hundreds of millions of dollars in global revenue.

Krishnamoorthy served as vice president of Development, Revenue Management Products for the Communications Global Business Unit (CGBU), as well as IP Rights Management at Oracle. He began his tenure at Oracle through its acquisition of Portal Software.

Prior to Oracle, he held engineering positions at companies like Sybase, Inc. and Amdahl Corp. Krishnamoorthy holds a master’s degree in computer science from Iowa State University, and earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from Anna University in Chennai, India.
