Insidesales.com Implements Coupa to Automate Processes and Generate Savings

Leading sales acceleration platform selects Savings-as-a-Service solution for its ease-of-use and cloud-enabled flexibility

SAN MATEO, CA – February 4, 2016 – Coupa Software, a leader in cloud-based spend management, announced today that, after implementing Coupa’s easy-to-use Procurement and Sourcing solution, InsideSales.com has brought substantially all of its spend under management in just three months by using Coupa.

“We have almost 700 employees and wanted everyone to have access to the tool, and Coupa’s licensing structure helped make that possible,” Hill stated. “Coupa’s implementation was quick and easy, helping us achieve substantial spend under management only three months after the seamless deployment.”

InsideSales.com rolled out the Coupa solution in October 2015 after conducting a thorough search for the ideal spend management platform, Hill said. The company only considered vendors ranked in the Gartner Magic Quadrant and the Forrester Wave Report, where Coupa was named a leader and awarded top scores, respectively. “The Magic Quadrant and Wave Report were big influencers in our decision-making process,” Hill added. 

InsideSales.com used 25 key criteria to help guide their selection process, which ultimately help them choose Coupa from among their two best choices, Hill said.  The top criteria that helped in the selection process was that Coupa is completely a cloud-based solution.  “We didn’t want an on-premise solution,” Hill said. Additional criteria included:

      • ability to integrate seamlessly with NetSuite
      • ease-of-use for end-users and procurement teams
      • catalog capabilities
      • workflow/approval process
      • sourcing (RFP) function

Prior to Coupa, InsideSales.com lacked an easy way for its teams to find, request and get approvals quickly and effectively.  “We outgrew our manual and rudimentary processes. There was no real supplier management being done,” said Hill.

Hill noted the implementation of Coupa’s Procurement and Sourcing solution was straight-forward with no delays, unlike his experience with most implementations in the past. “As long as we had our own homework assignments completed, the implementation from the Coupa side was seamless. It was like night and day compared to implementations in my past,” said Hill.
