Inspire 2016: Navigating the Maze of Global Compliance from e-Invoicing to Expense

SAN MATEO, CA – May 5, 2016 – Coupa Software, a leader in cloud-based spend management, will discuss at Inspire ’16  how businesses can more effectively navigate through the maze of global tax and invoicing requirements - from electronic signatures and document archiving to new government mandates.

The topic of global invoicing compliance will be discussed at Coupa’s Inspire, the fastest growing event in the spend management industry which will be held May 10-12 at The Westin St. Francis in San Francisco’s Union Square. Coupa’s Vice President of Global Product Compliance Markus Hornburg, along with Christoph Zenner, tax partner at PwC, will also update attendees on compliance issues across the Americas, Europe, Asia and more.
Hornburg said governments around the world have been building infrastructure and passing legislation regarding e-invoicing to reduce fraud, track tax compliance and increase efficiencies. With the success of e-invoicing in Latin America, other countries across the globe are beginning to explore a similar model. For example, the U.S. recently introduced two new regulations – public sector e-invoicing and country-by-country reporting – to create efficiencies in government processes and to cut down on tax evasion. The U.K. has additionally adopted the Prompt Payment Code, a voluntary agreement to promote good payment practices and pay invoices within a reasonable timeframe.
