Coupa Teams Up with Amazon Business to Deliver More Value to Customers

Coupa customers gain access to hundreds of millions of products available through the Amazon Business marketplace

SAN MATEO, CA – December 16, 2015 – Coupa Software, the leader in cloud-based spend management, today announced that the company is teaming up with Amazon Business to give Coupa customers immediate access to millions of suppliers and hundreds of millions of products available through the Amazon Business marketplace. The products include everything from IT and lab equipment to hard-to-find items such as traffic signs, industrial deep fryers, antibodies, 55-gallon steel drums, and dent pullers.

“The amount of excitement Amazon Business is generating as a supplier and intermediary in the B2B space is truly exceptional,” said Jason Busch, founder and managing director at Spend Matters. “Amazon’s relationship with Coupa, the fastest-growing procurement suite vendor, will increase the value delivered to their business customers.”

This agreement extends the value Coupa delivers to its customers for business-to-business (B2B) purchasing. Coupa customer benefits include:

  • Extending best-in-class B2B Coupa shopping to incorporate the Amazon search, browse, and shopping experience.
  • Providing single-step access for customers to expand from managing thousands of suppliers in internal catalogs to instant access to millions of suppliers in a single integration.
  • Access to a multi-seller marketplace with real-time visibility into price, delivery, and ratings.
  • Streamlined fulfillment and payment.

“Business customers want better access to selection with great pricing and trusted delivery,” said Prentis Wilson, vice president of Amazon Business. “Coupa is helping customers achieve their purchasing goals by providing them with direct access to the Amazon Business marketplace.”

Organizations using Coupa can connect to the Amazon Business marketplace through a simple one-time configuration in the Coupa Procurement interface. Amazon Business provides comparison-shopping by displaying multiple offers from different sellers on a single page. Coupa customers benefit from Amazon’s e-commerce expertise, visibility into full product catalogs on an established multi-seller marketplace, and eliminating the need to manage individual catalogs.

“Bringing Amazon Business together with Coupa makes perfect sense. Collaboration between businesses and the suppliers that work with them is key to business success and we both deliver this to our customers daily,” said Roger Goulart, vice president of business development and alliances at Coupa. “Coupa has continually innovated our Open Business NetworkTM and we’re proud to facilitate connectivity between our customers and all of their suppliers.”
