Challenge

A need for better control of cash flow in local countries to guarantee adequate funds centrally during unexpected humanitarian crises.

No standard reporting or payment process for its 120+ global banking partners in over 60 countries, leading to a lack of financial visibility.

The use of different banking systems resulted in time-consuming manual data collection and inaccurate liquidity reporting.

Solution

Results

Achieving 90% of accounts reporting directly into Coupa Treasury, and a further 10% being processed via StoneX, which converts non-standard statements into MT940 format for quick upload.

Standardizing the payment process by linking local entity payments into Coupa Treasury and approving them centrally before being routed to local banking partners to be executed locally.

Using one platform to streamline spend management, resulting in a central, real-time database for the non-profit’s global cash flow.

"Today SCI has over 90% of its 500 bank and mobile wallet statements reporting into Coupa Treasury."

-- Edward Collis, Treasurer
